Custom Software Integrations

API Development and Integration for Tucson Operations

Design, build, and maintain APIs that connect your Tucson business systems with clarity and control. We handle the technical contract, not the business decisions.

Assessment and Contract Design

We start by reviewing your existing systems, data flows, and the documented interfaces available to you. We define the API contract, including endpoints, request/response schemas, and error formats. Feasibility and available operations depend entirely on your current plan, permissions, API access, platform terms, and provider changes. We do not assume endpoints or features exist without verification.

Authentication, Versioning, and Rate Limits

Authentication follows the methods supported by each selected provider, with least-privilege access as the design target. Versioning, pagination, rate limits, retries, and backoff are based on current documentation and tested behavior. Provider changes can still interrupt service or require redesign.

Validation, Idempotency, and Webhooks

Validation is defined for the fields and operations in scope. Idempotency controls are used where the interface supports them to reduce duplicate side effects. Webhooks, polling, retry, and error-queue behavior are selected from documented capabilities, with reconciliation for known failure modes.

Testing, Documentation, and Lifecycle

Tests cover the endpoints, contracts, failures, and environments available to the project. Documentation records selected interfaces, known errors, deployment, disable or rollback procedures, and operating ownership. Monitoring remains limited to observable provider and application signals.

What the engagement can produce

Practical deliverables

API Contract Document

A written specification of endpoints, schemas, authentication, versioning, pagination, and error handling, based only on verified provider capabilities.

Integration Codebase

Source code with retries, rate-limit handling, validation, idempotency where applicable, and structured logging. No undocumented assumptions.

Error Queue and Monitoring Setup

A queue for failed operations and dashboards limited to metrics the provider exposes. Alerts are configured for actionable failures only.

Operational Runbook

Step-by-step procedures for deployment, rollback, disable, secret rotation, and incident response. Includes ownership and escalation paths.
