Custom Software

SaaS Development in Tucson

We build multi-tenant SaaS products from the ground up—or take over an existing codebase—with clear ownership of the operational layers most teams overlook. No product-market-fit promises, just disciplined engineering.

Product Discovery and Scoping

Before writing code, we work with you to define the product's core workflow, target users, and the problem it solves. We document assumptions about tenancy models, identity providers, and role hierarchies. We ask about your current infrastructure, team capacity, and deployment constraints. This phase produces a written scope, a risk register, and a decision log—so everyone agrees on what we are building and why.

Tenancy, Identity, and Roles

We implement multi-tenancy using your chosen isolation strategy—shared database, schema-per-tenant, or cluster-per-tenant—based on your data sensitivity and scaling needs. We configure identity via your existing IdP (e.g., Okta, Azure AD, Auth0) or a simple email/password flow if you have no IdP. Roles and permissions are mapped to your business rules, not hardcoded. We document how tenant admins manage their own users and what happens when a tenant is suspended or deleted.

Billing, Subscriptions, and Onboarding

Billing is included only when selected. Provider, subscription, proration, invoicing, payment-failure, downgrade, cancellation, retention, and export behavior are scoped from the chosen service's supported interfaces and the owner's policies. The application does not invent its own payment-security or legal rules.

Operational Ownership and Release Process

Operational planning covers available logs, metrics, traces, administrative tooling, environments, migrations, incident ownership, and release rollback. The exact controls depend on the architecture and operating model. Rehearsals and runbooks reduce deployment risk but do not guarantee uptime, recovery, or incident prevention.

What the engagement can produce

Practical deliverables

Architecture Decision Record

A written document explaining tenancy model, identity flow, and billing integration choices, including alternatives considered and why they were rejected.

Tenant Onboarding Checklist

A step-by-step guide for creating a new tenant, configuring roles, and verifying billing—used by your support team and by our engineers during testing.

Observability Dashboard Set

Pre-configured dashboards for request latency, error rates, tenant activity, and billing events, with alerts for anomalies.

Release and Rollback Runbook

A documented procedure for deploying a new version, including database migrations, feature flags, and the exact steps to revert if something goes wrong.
